Barbara Leona Hatch Pella Johnson Earl 95 passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018,.in Tremonton
Utah. Barbara was born February 15, 1923, in Brigham City Utah to Helger Packer and Sylvia Loreen
Johnson Hatch. She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1942. She marred Robert C Pella on
October 1, 1941, their marriage was later solemnized in Logan Utah Temple on January 27, 1949. Later
they divorced. She married Charles R Johnson, Jr. on September 28, 1963, they lived in Logan, Germany,
and Brigham City. He died on February 13, 1984. She married Rex Earl on April 15, 1989., they lived in
California and Brigham City. He died January 16, 2011. Barbara was a member of the L.D.S. Church.
Served as a visiting teacher in Germany and in the Brigham City 1st and 7th Wards. She was a member of
the Civic Improvement Club, Laureate Gamma Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Neighborhood
Birthday Club, Pinochle Club, Brigham City Ladies Golf and Country Club Association, Eagles Auxiliary,
and Brigham City Junior Chamber of Commerce (JC's). She worked at Maddox, Smiths, and Brigham
Apparel together for a total of 30 years. She Loved football, the deer hunt, family reunions,
camp outs and was a world traveler. She enjoyed crocheting afghans and doilies for her family very
much, including all her husband's families, their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and
great-great grandchildren and friends. Barbara is survived by her children Chris R. Pella (Rita)
Smithfield, UT; Gerald Herman Brigham City, UT; Scott H Pella (Karla) Garland, UT; Charles's children
Cathy Coates (Max) Melville UT; Dennis, Charles, and Christy Johnson, Easton, MD,
Rex's children Jim Earl (Barbara), Bountiful UT; Ann Coppin (Pat), Kaysville, UT; and Douglas Earl, PA.
Her siblings, six brothers Farrell (deceased); Ray (Deceased); Rulon (Deceased); Odell (Deceased); Amos
and Marvin Hatch. Three sisters Marion Hunsaker (Deceased); Carolyn Bywater, and Janet Hatch
(Deceased). She was preceded in death by her parents, baby, Bruce H Pella, and daughter Barbara Gene
Herman. The family would like to thank the staff at Access Homecare and Hospice and Bear River
Rehabilitation Center for taking care of Barbara. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, April 2,
2018, at 11:00 am at Gillies Funeral Chapel. Family will greet friends, relatives, on Sunday, April 1,
from 6 to 8 pm and Monday, April 2, prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Gillies Funeral Chapel
