Bradley Aaron Whitley, lovingly known by his family and friends as Brad, Bubba, and Pop pop, passed away on May 18, 2024, having lived a full and meaningful life since his birth on February 21, 1967, in Los Angeles, CA. A humble, loving, charismatic, and thoughtful man, Brad brought joy and comfort to those around him with his boundless love and infectious humor. He was a beacon of love and strength for his family and a pillar of support for his community in Perry, Utah, where he resided.
Brad was an accomplished chef by profession at the Box Elder County Jail, where he spent 14 enriching years. Beyond his professional life, he was an avid fisherman and hunter, a masterful cook, and a dedicated volunteer, always ready to lend a hand during disaster relief efforts. Matthew 6:9-10 "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." Brad epitomized this sentiment, dedicating his life to serving others with a generous heart and an unwavering commitment. His lifelong devotion to his family and service to others was the cornerstone of his existence, reflecting his unwavering patience and selflessness.
Brad leaves behind his beloved wife of 35 years, Keri Whitley; his cherished daughter, Brianna Wakly; his son-in-law Nathan Heppler; his loving son, Jacob Whitley; his adored grandson, Porter Wakly; his brother Eric (Michele) Whitley; and his caring mother, Carol Whitley. He was preceded in death by his father, George Whitley and his sister Rebecca Friday-Stein. A Celebration of Life will be held for Brad on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 11:00am MDT, at the Event Center at Perry City Lodge, 1950 S Highway 89, Perry, Utah, 84302.
