Claudia was born January 3, 1936 in Perry, Utah to Roland Marl Gourley and Jennie Tuttle Gourley. She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1954 and later attended Utah State University. As a child with her older sister Janet Gourley Herbert and her younger sister Marion Marl Gourley Christensen, the family spent many summers on Willard Peak as their father was stationed there doing fire watch. She had many fun stories from their times on Willard Peak. Claudia married C.R. Munns, they later moved to Alaska and started a family, blessed with four children, Lindsey, Marc, Jon and Jessica, they were later divorced. She loved Alaska and its endless beauty. In 1973 she married Lawrence D. Wilde Jr. and were later sealed together in the Ogden temple. With their union, she added Larry’s sons Larry III, Ron and Alan and his many grandchildren to her family. She loved spending time with her children and enjoyed many outdoor activities. They often spent time in the summers in a cabin in the woods, camping, and hiking. In the winters she enjoyed the many winter activities Alaska had to offer. She and Larry built their dream home in Big Lake, Alaska with the help of Larry’s sons. The house had large widows and a special loft where she created her many beautiful creations. Claudia had many hobbies; she had a passion for making quilts for her family and friends, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and loved to build miniature doll houses with their intricate tiny details, often creating her own special touches and furnishings for them. She also enjoyed playing the piano and the autoharp. Claudia was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she held many callings in her lifetime. She and Larry served a mission in Martin's Cove. Claudia was preceded in death by her parents Roland and Jennie Gourley, her husband Lawrence D. Wilde Jr., and her loving sisters and brothers-in-laws Janet and Don Herbert, and Marl and Chris Christensen.
