CLINTON, UT - Our loving grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, Dorothy Betty Curtin, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at County Pines in Clinton, Utah. She was born on September 25, 1924 in McKees Rock, Pennsylvania, daughter to Berry and Elizabeth Dewey Arnold, Sr. Dorothy married her sweetheart, Earl Curtin Sr. on June 1, 1944 and he preceded her in death. She met Francis Coffey when they were ballroom dancing, they lived together until he passed away in Dec. 11, 2015. Dorothy attended and was a deaconess at the West Dennis Community Church before moving out to Utah and attended Our Saviors Lutheran in Roy, Utah. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a Worthy Matron. During World War II, she was a cadet nurse and later in life she was a candy striper. Dorothy loved to dance, bowl, swim in the ocean and workout every day. In lieu of flowers send donations to The West Dennis Community Church, 288 Main Street, West, Dennis, MA 02670. Surviving is her grandson, Rich (Nicia) Curtin of Clinton, UT; two great grandson, Thomas and Nick Curtin; one brother, Robert (Margaret) Arnold of Florida; one sister, Jeanette Doherty of Maine. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Sr.; two sons, Earl Jr. and Philip Curtin; one brother, Berry Jr; two sisters, Shirley and Patricia. Church service will be at West Dennis Community Church 288 Main St. West Dennis MA 02670 on Sunday the 27th May at 1:00pm, following coffee hour. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at the Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree, Massachusetts. Send condolences to www.gilliesfuneralchapel.com.
