Evan R. Sleight of Brigham City, Utah, passed away October 11, 2018, surrounded by his wife and children after friends and family gathered at his home.
He was born February 6, 1972, in Fort Polk, Louisiana, to Edward and Lois Sleight.
He graduated from the University of Phoenix with a master's degree in computer information systems. He worked at Hill Air Force Base for DISA until March 29, 2010, when Evan became a quadriplegic after a tragic auto accident.
Evan was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had many callings and served the Lord with all his heart. Evan served a two-year mission in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was sealed to the love of his life Robynlee Watters in the Salt Lake City Temple on May 20, 1994. They have six children, who love their father very much.
Evan is survived by his parents, Edward and Lois Sleight, his wife, Robynlee Sleight, his children, Logan, Marlene, Brittney (Tagger), Christopher, Tresithney, and Sariah, four siblings, Eric, Monte (Melanie), Jannette (Dustin), and Kayleen. He is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Seymour and Orletta Sleight, Marvin Aullman, Raymond Sleight, Erma (Aullman) Sleight, his mother-in-law, Leanna Watters, and good friends, Shawna Wagstaff, Bobby Bynum, and Todd Farley.
The viewing will be held Monday, October 15, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City and again on Tuesday, at the Box Elder Stake Center, from 10-10:40 am prior to the service.
Funeral Services will also be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Box Elder Stake Center, 420 South 800 West, Brigham City, Utah at 11:00 am.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
