Our loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend, Floyd (Mick) Goddard, 95, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at his daughter Lori’s home in Grand Junction, Colorado.
He was born on October 22, 1927 in Livingston, Montana, a son of Floyd and Barbro Brakstad Goddard.
Mick married Georgia Stedtfeld on October 27, 1951 in Helena, Montana. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on November 8, 1956.
Mick was born and raised in Montana and lived there for over 52 years and spent over 30 years in Brigham CIty, Utah before living back and forth with his two daughters between Hemet, California and Grand Junction, Colorado.
Mick loved people and made many friends over his life. Anyone that knew Mick loved him. He was a great example of Christlike attributes and showed love, forgiveness and compassion to all he knew. He loved and lived his religion in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was the patriarch and example to his family.
His greatest joy was his wife Georgia and his family.
Mick is survived by his four children, John (Denise) Goddard, St. George; Vickie (Mike) Galante, Hemet, CA; Lori (Mike) Billings, Grand Junction, CO; Lark (Andrei) Goddard, Oakley, ID; 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; sister Marylou Shields, Townsend, MT and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Georgia; granddaughter Julia Marks; brothers and sisters Chet Goddard; Helen (Goddard) Irey; Jody (Goddard) Fink; Don Goddard and John Goddard.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Brigham City LDS First Ward Chapel, 236 East 100 South.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
