Germaine Curlee Tanner Born December 22nd 1937, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 85 years of age.
Germaine had an interesting life from her days at Pius X High School in Downey, California. Following graduation in 1955, she entered the Convent of Sisters of Orange, California. After many years, they knew her as Sister Paul Joseph until her departure from the Convent because of health issues. She left the Convent to teach school in California, Arizona, Idaho & Utah. While teaching, she worked for many years to pursue her Bachelors & Master's degrees in Home Economics. Her Doctorate was made through USU in Logan, Utah. She raised and survived by 4 adopted children: Henry, Latanya, Anna & Christopher.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Latter-day Saints. Where she enjoyed worshiping the gospel during that time, she taught many lessons on genealogy and, at her request, she tracked and entered many ancestors in the ancestral databases & performed endowments and sealings. She married John Harvey Tanner in November, 1997, in the Jordan River Temple. They were married for 12 years before his passing in January 2009. We will hold a Graveside service and burial at the Willard Cemetery on Saturday, April 01, 2023 at 1:30 pm
We would like to thank the incredible network of friends and neighbors who helped her be as comfortable as possible as age-related challenges took their toll on her.
