Harold J Winn (Whiskey) Born Dec 15, 1942 to Alma and Odra Winn in Brigham City Utah, passed away peacefully in Hyde Park, Utah, at Autumn Care Assisted Memory Care on July 9th, 2024 He attended school in Brigham City Utah, where his sister Joyce introduced him to his wife, Sandra. He left school and enrolled in the United States Navy, where he served 4 years on the USS Sellers and the USS Samuel B. Roberts. He married Sandy while on leave in Brigham City Utah on June 3rd, 1963. Harold and Sandra were married 61 + years and had 2 kids, Harold Jay Winn Jr. (Jay), and Cynthia Ann Masters (Cindy) After the Navy he and Sandy moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where he ended up working , and retiring, from Salt Lake City Corporation in the water department, sewage treatment division. After Harold's retirement from the city, he and Sandy packed up and moved to Weston Idaho in hopes of getting away from the big city hustle and bustle. Harold was an avid hunter, exceptional self taught fly fisherman, avid horseman, gun enthusiast , trap and skeet shooter, and all around Cowboy. He believed in, and preached, the right to keep and bear arms, and always said, “I will give up my guns, when they pry my cold, dead fingers from around them” Well Dad, we will take it from here! Harold is survived by his wife Sandy, son Jay (Annette), daughter Cindy (Troy), 6 Grandkids, 6 Great Grandkids, and younger brother Keith. Preceded in death by a Granddaughter, Parents Alma and Odra, oldest brother Eugene, younger sister Joyce. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT at 11-11:45am. A funeral service will follow. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery with Military Honors.
