James Demos

April 14, 1921 — April 28, 2018

James Chris Demos was born on April 14, 1921 and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Chris and Bernice Demos. Jim served in the Pacific Theater as a Radio Operator during World War II. Jim married Lois Henshaw. From this marriage they had two children, Gary and Carolyn. Later Jim married Valene Channel in California and moved to Ogden where he worked at Hill Air Force Base for 12 years until retirement. Jim joined the LDS Church and was High Priest in the South Ogden LDS 5th Ward. He completed 7 missions, where he helped 40 individuals to join the church. He taught many classes and held high positions due to his devotion. He is survived by his two children, Gary Demos and Carolyn Demos Macy; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one sister Kathleen Demos Phillips, 8 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Dr. Robert Demos and Dr. Chris Demos and one nephew. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery. Send condolences to www.gilliesfuneralchapel.com
