Jean Hawrylo

Jean Ellen Hawrylo passed away peacefully on Monday, July 2, 2018. A career naval officer, upon retirement Jean settled in Brigham City, UT. She appreciated both Utah's incredible natural beauty and the warmth and friendliness of Brigham City's residents. At heart an artist, Jean found joy in her paintings, her animals, and her home. Many organizations benefited from her enthusiasm and expertise, including the Brigham City Museum of Art & History and Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge. Born October 23, 1949 to Walter and Sophie Hawrylo, Jean leaves behind her siblings Walt Hawrylo Jr., of Sequim WA; Sharon Hawrylo of Elk Grove, CA; Elizabeth Hawrylo and her husband Ed Helscher of San Diego, CA; and Julia Hawrylo and her husband Bill Withers of Ellicott City, MD. Also missing her will be her nephew and nieces and their families, as well as many friends and family far and wide. A celebration of her life will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, July 14, at St Michael's Episcopal Church, 589 South 200 East, Brigham City, UT.
