Kaye Williams MacFarlane
Kaye Williams MacFarlane, 83, a devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2024 in South Jordan, Utah at The Peaks memory care Center, surrounded by family.
She was born on May 16, 1940 in Brigham City, the first child of John Shirley "Shirl" and Eleida Jensen Williams. She spent her younger years growing up on a farm in Perry, Utah, until the family moved to Brigham City.
Kaye graduated from Box Elder High School class of 1958. She then attended Utah State University, where she met Richard. Kaye married her sweetheart, Richard Daniel MacFarlane on September 1, 1961 in Brigham City, Utah.
Kaye continued her education while working and graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting from Weber State College.
Kaye began her career at Thiokol Corporation and later moved on to the Clearfield Job Corp where she worked as Comptroller and quickly advanced to the Director of Finance and Accounting before retiring in 1989. Because she loved working with kids she then went to work at Family Preservation Institute as their accountant and a surrogate to their many teenage youth.
Kaye and Richard's passion was raising, showing and winning championships with their cocker spaniels. Kaye also enjoyed golfing, bowling, music and sewing. She was active in community service and a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and Business and Professional Women's club. Kaye was a cancer survivor .
Kaye is survived by her siblings, John Williams; Martha (Craig) Stewart; Wendy Kano; Alan (Brenna) Williams; Taryl (Dave) Shupe and many nieces and nephews that loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, her parents, a sister-in-law, Linda Jordan Williams, and a brother-in-law, David Kano.
