Linda Steve

September 5, 1948 — May 12, 2022

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Linda Marie Steve, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Willow Glen nursing home where she resided for 27 years due to Multiple Sclerosis. She was born September 5, 1948 in Bellingham, Washington, the third of 4 children, daughter of Gerrit and Cora Haak. She was reared and educated in Lynden, Washington, graduating from Lynden Christian High School in 1966. She then attended 1 year at Dordt College in Iowa. Went on to nursing school at Everett Community College, graduating in 1969. Leaving to Seattle and Denver to nurse with her very good friend, Arlene. During this time, they took a very special trip to Europe to see the country. In 1974 she came to Brigham City as a volunteer for the Brigham City Christian Reformed Church to help with the Intermountain Indian School. She married Tony Steve on August 19,1976 in Lynden, Washington. They resided in Brigham City, where they raised 2 beautiful daughters, Stefanie and Mikala. She was a Registered Nurse at Pioneer Care Center for 8 years before her illness forced her to stop nursing. Linda had a love for music, playing the piano in church every Sunday. She spent most of her time doing countless duties for the church, including teaching Sunday School, youth activities, potlucks, Holiday Programs and so much more! She loved all homemaker duties, such as, baking, cooking, sewing, arts & crafts and planning the best birthday parties for her girls. Her Faith was very important to her, most importantly, were raising her daughters. 1995 her illness then forced her to reside at Godfreys Foothill Retreat, now known as, Willow Glen Nursing & Rehab until the day she passed. Where she made countless friends with just her beautiful, contagious smile and loving personality. Everyone she came in contact with instantly took a liking to her. We would like to thank the countless Doctors, Nurses, Aides, all Staff who have helped care for our Beloved Mother through her MS fight. Thank you so much for all you have done! Surviving are her daughters, Stefanie (Mike) Flores and Mikala Steve (Joey Amidan); seven grandchildren: Michael (Tasha) Flores, Angel (Aneisa) Flores, Taleisa Flores (Angelo Hernandez), Skyler Amidan, Talajah Flores (Xavier Garcia) Tristan Amidan and Tyra Amidan; 5 great-granchildren: Zeina, Zariya, Amirii, Malyia and Michael Jr.: three siblings: Ken (Mary Jane) Haak, Larry (Diane) Haak and Marilyn Haak. four nieces and one nephew.
