Linda R. Wood, age 76 of Huber Heights, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Miami Valley Hospital. She was born May 7, 1945 in Pasadena, CA, the daughter of the late Kenneth G. and Renee (Rasmussen) Falkner.
Linda was a woman of faith and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Huber Heights. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them as well as cooking for them. Her other hobbies included quilting, crocheting, and being a seamstress; also, reading, singing, and traveling the world with her husband.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by twin sons, Jared Douglas and Corey Bowen in 1972; and a sister, Lisa Falkner. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Douglas; three daughters, Miesha Renee Sanders, Becket Denise (Kent) Wilson, Ginger Gayle Stroop; six grandchildren, Laney, Kyler, Nicholas, Mira, Ella, Matthew; a great-granddaughter, Alvie; brother, Dennis (Lori) Falkner; niece, Kenda (Soren) Laney; and a nephew, Chayton Falkner. Family members serving as pallbearers will be Kent Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Kyler, Wood, Jake Boldman and Mike Brady.
A viewing will be held in Brigham City, Utah at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Thursday January 6, 2022 from 6-8 pm and again on Friday from 10-11:45 am. A funeral service will be held Friday at noon at Gillies Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
