Garland- Our loving father, grandfather, and brother, Lloyd Tal Johnson, passed away suddenly surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Bear River Valley Hospital. He was born on January 2, 1952 to Willard M Johnson and Doris Roberts. He graduated from Pleasant Grove High. After high school Lloyd attended ITT Tech and Utah Valley Community College where he received his Associates degree. Lloyd was a member of the LDS Church. He served in the Tri-Cities Washington mission. He was active in the scouting program and made the most amazing arrows of light. Lloyd married Corby Lynn Clark on April 4, 1975 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Lloyd served in the Army Reserves for six years. He worked for Lindon City, Ireko, Geneva Steel and Thiokol (ATK) where he retired. Lloyd enjoyed photography, printing, and inventing. He was interested in all things science and technology. Above all he loved being a grandpa and was a super awesome father. Lloyd is survived by 5 children, Rachelle (Ryan) Hansen, Carrisa (Mike) McCracken, Shannon (Jake) Hammer, Bennington, Natalie (Scott) Gygi; 8 grandchildren; one brother, Robert Johnson; two sisters, WillaMae Overson and Beverly Merrick. He is preceded in death by his wife Corby, parents; three siblings, and three in-laws. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, Utah at 11:00am. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:00-10:30am. Interment will be in the West Weber Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the Pleasant View and Logan Regional Hospital Dialysis Centers and Callie Johnson for the care they took of Lloyd.
