Margueritte "Maggie" Bentley
BRIGHAM CITY - Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Margueritte "Maggie" Caroline Schraeder Bentley, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving children on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in Brigham City, Utah.
She was born on May 23, 1938 in Jerauld County, South Dakota, a daughter of Alpheus F. and Laura Caroline Hobbach Westlake.
She married Merle Arlo Schraeder in South Dakota. Together they had five children. They were later divorced. She was a hard working single mother for many years. Once her children were grown, Maggie met and married Clinton Bentley, they had many good times together but were later divorced.
Before retiring, Maggie worked as a CNA, for many years at Pioneer Nursing Home. She had also worked at Best Western Motel, 7-11 and Pacific Trails, where she made many friends.
She loved being around horses, camping, 4-wheeling, going to Lake Powell, and especially loved riding in fast cars. She loved spending time with her dogs, Sage and Max. Maggie loved being around her family and laughing.
Surviving are four children, Dennis (Terry) Schraeder; Barbara Steen; Kim (Randy) Brightenburg; Lonnie (Carol) Schraeder; 7 grandchildren: Chance, Casey, Jessica, April, Tiffanie, Hailee, Sara Jo, Chay; 9 great grandchildren: Ryan, Carson, Avery, Josh, Jaxon, Benjamin, Scarlette, Deklan and Ollie; two sisters, Marcella and Mavis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Randy Schraeder and one grandson, Cody.
There was a private memorial service held with the family.
We will miss our mom very much. She worked very hard her whole life. It is now her time to be at peace and rest. We love you mom.
