Marie Christensen

Marie Christensen Marie Christensen, loving mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2024 at her home in Perry, Utah. Marie was born on December 5, 1953 in Logan, Utah, a daughter of Alfred Laurence and Delores Miller Helms. She graduated from Pine Ridge High School in South Dakota and attended Dixie College in St. George, Utah. While attending Dixie, she met the love of her life, Edward Boyd Christensen. They were married for time and eternity in the St. George Temple on June 29, 1973. Ed passed away on July 7, 2023. Marie supported Ed's career in teaching in various parts of Utah and Wyoming. They settled in Perry during his teaching at Box Elder School District and continued to raise her family. After Ed's retirement, they owned and operated Christensen Auto LLC. Marie loved spending time with her family especially her 10 grandkids. She was an amazing seamstress, outstanding cook, traveling, riding her bike with Ed and sharing knowledge. Marie loved coming in contact with others and sharing her compassionate heart. Surviving are her children: Bruce (Thi Nguyet Do) Christensen, Greg (Jennifer) Christensen, Lori (Jared) Genther, Trevor (Rachel) Christensen; 10 grandchildren, her siblings, JoAnn Sorensen, Pauline Olsen, Lee Helms, Laura Parkin and Bill Helms. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sweetheart, Ed. A private memorial service in Marie's honor will be held on a later date.
