Marilyn Perry

April 13, 1943 — July 31, 2018

Marilyn Misrasi Perry, 75, died peacefully in her home on July 31st, 2018, after a long and courageous battle against lung cancer. She was born on April 13th, 1943, in Brigham City, Utah, she was the daughter of Thomas and Wanda Misrasi. She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1961, then married Merrill Edward Perry on April 4th, 1964, they had 3 children together and later divorced. She went back to college after her children were grown, where she graduated from Idaho State University with a Master's Degree in 1995. Marilyn was a lifelong member of the Sigma Zonk Fratority and was currently serving as the Spiritual Advisor. We would like to thank her Sigma Zonk Friends for their support during the last few years. Marilyn spent her time volunteering for the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, which she enjoyed for 5 years. She loved gardening, caring for her yard and bird watching. She spent many hours creating a bird paradise in her yard for all the birds, but especially for the scrub jay and wild quail in her yard. The highlight of her day was spending it with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her son Greg Perry of Pocatello, ID, daughter Kim (Marty) Thorpe of La Grange, Kentucky, and son Evan (Hattie) Perry of Cove, Utah; 4 grandsons; Shane, Jake, Wyatt and Tyler; 4 granddaughters Savannah, Reilly, Breonna and Jessica; 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters; Lois (Dean) Hereford, Barbara (Dennis) Whitaker, Patti (Bob) Winklesky and Nancy Shevey. She was preceded in passing by her parents, sister Betty Goodman, Brother in law Bert Goodman and her longtime friend Dolly "Nannette" Bulow. The family would like to thank Dr. Jason Stinnett and Staff as well as Dr. Jonathan Markenson and his staff for the care you gave to Marilyn Services to honor and celebrate the remarkable life of Marilyn will be held on Monday, August 6th, 2018, at 11 am. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City. Friends may visit Family Monday, from 10 am- 10:45 am at the mortuary. Interment will be in held at the Corrine Cemetery.
