Mitch Lewis Allen, beloved husband, son, father, brother, uncle and grandpa passed away peacefully Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2023 with the love of his life, his wife Polly, by his side.
Mitch was born September 27, 1977 to Lewis Allen and Deanna Hales in Brigham City, Utah. Mitch grew up in Tremonton, UT and later in Logan UT where he attended Logan High school.
Mitch played football as a youth and in high school for the Logan Grizzles. He was always an avid fisherman and loved being out on the stream or lake in nature fishing. He participated in The Cutthroat Cutt Slam in both Utah and Wyoming and was awarded several certificates for completing them.
Mitch was such a kind, sweet and gentle man. He had great love for his family and friends and most of all his son Bridger and his true love, Polly.
Polly and Mitch were married on their birthdays, which they shared the same date, September 27, 2022. It was the happiest day of his life. He loved Polly with his whole heart. He was always Polly's favorite tour guide and forever her sweetface.
Mitch is survived by his wife, Polly Allen, his son, Bridger Allen. Parents Lewis and Gen Allen and Deanna and Stephen Jones. Stepchildren, Brittany (Harley) Granddaughter Ella Williams, Max O’Neal, Hayden Jensen and Shay Jensen. Sisters, Amy (Dave) Kirby, Ally (Martin) Southern, Heather (Steve) Kibler. Brothers, Nate Allen, Kelcey (Karrie) Jones, and Carson Jones. Many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. As well as Step Siblings Heidi Scott, Justin (Jeniece) Scott, Shantel (Brandon) Shearer, Brent J (Amanda) Scott. He will be greatly missed by all.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 2, at 11:00am at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham.
A viewing will be held on Friday, December 1, from 6-8 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 145 West 500 South, Brigham City and again at Gillies Funeral Chapel on Saturday from 10-10:45 am.
