MYRNA L. BOTT

Myrna Lee Bott, 76, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family, on November 15, 2024, due to congestive heart failure.

Myrna was born on November 12, 1948, to Ellis and Iris Lee in Brigham City, Utah. She was the sixth of twelve children, growing up in a large and loving family with two sisters and nine brothers. Myrna graduated from Box Elder High School and continued her education at Ricks College, where she earned an associate degree in psychology.

Myrna met her eternal companion, Lorenzo "Rennie" James Bott, at an M-Men and Gleaners activity. They were married on

July 30, 1970, in the Logan L.D.S. Temple. Together, they were blessed with five children—Lee, Ken, Andrew, Anthony, and Carissa—and raised their family with love and faith. Their life together took them from Brigham City to El Paso, Texas, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Burley, Idaho, before settling in Brigham City in 1979.

A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Myrna devoted her life to serving others. She held numerous ward and stake callings in Primary, Young Women's, and Relief Society, and she taught Gospel Doctrine. Myrna and Rennie served as missionaries in the Adriatic South Mission from November 2012 to May 2014, a service they cherished. Afterward, they served in the Brigham City Temple, a place close to her heart. One of her most beloved callings was as a seminary teacher for special needs students, a role she filled for ten years with deep love and joy.

Myrna had a lifelong passion for sports. She excelled in softball, volleyball, and tennis, playing on college teams and city leagues. A devoted BYU football fan, she cheered for the Cougars (unless they were playing Utah State). She instilled her love of sports in her children, supporting and encouraging them every step of the way.

As a mother and grandmother, Myrna's love knew no bounds. She was deeply devoted to her family, always offering unwavering support, a listening ear, and a warm hug. Myrna delighted in playing games with her grandchildren and ensured every visit was filled with cookies, jellybeans. and fond memories.

Known for her radiant smile and contagious laugh, Myrna was a kind and loyal friend who made everyone feel welcome. Her home was always open, and her warm spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She found joy in baking whole wheat bread every Monday and sharing it with friends and neighbors.

Myrna is preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Iris Lee, and two brothers, Delwin and Dewayne. She is survived by her devoted husband, Rennie; her children Lee (Nicole), Ken (Heather), Andrew (Kara), Anthony (Ann-Marie), and Carissa (Justin) Briggs; 25 grandchildren; seven brothers, and two sisters.
