Nancy Pulsipher
Nancy Pulsipher, 73, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, in Brigham City, Utah due to complications from a stroke. She was born on August 22, 1948 in Logan, Utah to Harlan Gardner and Marilyn Allen Pulsipher. In her early years, she lived with her family in many different places, including France, California, Washington, and Utah. She graduated from Elkhart High School in Indiana with top honors in her class. She then continued her education at BYU. While at BYU she attended a semester abroad in Mexico City and taking a break to live and work in Seattle, WA with her BYU roommate, Teresa Stoddard. Nancy found work in the medical field and decided her calling in life was to be a nurse. She returned to BYU and graduated as a Registered Nurse.
Nancy found work in the Salt Lake City area and had a great career as a nurse over the next 40 or so years, including earning BA and MA degrees in nursing. She was Head Nurse in the Neonatal Care Ward at Primary Children's Hospital for many years. After she retired, she taught nursing classes for several years.
Nancy loved her pets, exclusively cats for several years, until she discovered what great companion’s dogs could be as well. She enjoyed serving in her local ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in West Valley City. Much of her service was with music, as Nancy was a gifted pianist.
Surviving are her eight siblings, John (Christy) Pulsipher; Dianne Pulsipher; Janet (Randy) Lint; Darlene (Randy) Jensen; Mark (Wendy) Pulsipher; Alice (Cory) Ball; Michael (Jenny) Pulsipher; Craig (Sheila) Pulsipher and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Marilyn Pulsipher, three siblings, Howard Pulsipher, Marie Montefusco, and Richard Pulsipher, and one nephew, Zachary Pulsipher.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 E 200 S., Brigham City.
Interment will be in the Richmond Cemetery in Richmond, Utah at 3:30 pm.
