Our loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma and friend, Naomi Ruth Lee Sutherland, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2022, surrounded by her family. Naomi was born in Denver Colorado on July 28, 1941, to Ed E. & Pearl Angel Lee.
Naomi graduated from Riverton High School in Columbus Kansas. After high school, Naomi met her sweetheart, Eugene A. Sutherland. They lived most of their married life in Utah. They have three children. Chris, Gerald and Joy.
Naomi was a licensed minister. In Idaho, she was a member of New Assembly of God Church. She and Gene were founding members there.
Naomi enjoyed gardening, canning, walking, dogs and most of all her grand kids.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Chris; a granddaughter, Ashely; a brother Duane; a sister Retha; 4 brother-in-laws; 2 sister-in-laws.
She is survived by her husband Eugene; a son, Gerald; a daughter, Joy (John) Marshall; 7 grandchildren, Cassie, Shantel, Jeffrey, Johnathan, Sharaiah, Austin, Kalisha; 10 1/2 Great-grandkids; 1 great-great-grandkid; 2 sisters, Wanda, Genevive (Jim) Guy.
A memorial service will be held on April 2, 2022, at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, Utah at 11:00 am. A celebration of life will be held on July 28, 2022, at Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
