Norma Marble

November 29, 1930 — January 10, 2018

Norma was born in Juniper, Idaho on November 29, 1930, to Lawrence Clark and Martha Austin. She graduated from Bear River High School and married Howard Woodward in the Salt Lake Temple Oct. 19, 1949. Norma graduated from Weber State Magna Cum Laude in 1969. She worked at the Intermountain Indian School and retired from ATK Thiokol. Howard passed away in 1984. She met Wesley Marble at Thiokol and they married at the end of 1984. Wesley was a great husband and companion to her. They served an LDS Mission to Southern Australia. Surviving are her husband, Wesley, her children, Lily "Nancy" Portz and companion, Blake Beier; Paul (Mary) Woodward; Joan McClain; Mary (Hal) Barfuss; step children, Gaylene (Mark) White; Gordon (Helen) Marble; Christine Marble; Diana (Greg) Isham; Sandra (Derrick) Dietze; 36 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, one sister Myrtle Edwards; one brother Melvin Clark. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Woodward; one daughter, Jan Beier Wilson; step daughter, Sheri Marble, four sisters and one brother. The family would like to thank Joan McClain for her care and attention to Norma and Wes. They would also like to thank Lily for help, and Dr. Vincent Hansen and his fine staff and Debbie Kimber from Hospice. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brigham City LDS 6thWard Chapel, 105 W. Fishburn Drive. Viewing will be held on Sunday, Jan. 14th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, Utah and on Monday at the CHURCH from 12 Noon to 12:40 p.m. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
