Pauline Peterson Heaton passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019 in Taylorsville, Utah at the age of 88. Pauline was born May 23, 1930 in East Garland, Utah to Fredrick Willard Peterson and Bernice May Smith Hansen Peterson. Pauline was the fourth born of nine children and has three sisters and five brothers. She married Oren Loyall Heaton on April 6, 1953 in Dallas, Texas and they were later sealed as a family in the Cardston Alberta Temple on July 21, 1965. Oren sold insurance to military personnel which allowed them to travel the country and live in many different states including Virginia (where Carolyn was born), California, Alabama (where Mark was born), Nevada (where Gregg was born), and Washington state. Pauline was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she served in many callings through the years. She was loved by many and was a great example to her family. She was an elegant lady and was always impeccably groomed and dressed. Pauline was a wonderful seamstress, often sewing clothes for her family and others and when changes in life required it, she put those skills to use working at Brigham Apparel and Pacific Trails in Brigham City and the La-Z-Boy Furniture plant in Tremonton. She also loved to knit and crochet and to work in her yard. Pauline will be missed.....pending a sweet reunion.
Pauline is survived by her brothers Larry (Linda) and Rodney and her children Carolyn (Glade) Larsen, Mark (Debra) Heaton and Gregg (Lisa) Heaton, 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Beverly, Janice, Tamra and brothers Darrel, Robert and Jerry.
The family would like to thank Willow Wood Care Center and Avalon West Health and Rehabilitation and all their staff for the care and consideration they gave to Pauline.
A viewing will be held Friday April 26th from 6-8 PM at Gillies Funeral Chapel 634 E 200 S Brigham City, UT. A graveside service will be held Saturday April 27th at 11:00 AM at East Garland Cemetery.
