Ralph Wyatt

July 20, 1932 — August 19, 2022

Ralph Bird Wyatt, 90 passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 20, 1932 in Wellsville Utah to Charles Leavitt and Therese Bird Wyatt on the family farm which is now the American West Historical Farm. He was the youngest of seven children. He attended and graduated from South Cache High School. He married his high school sweetheart Loretta and just celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on August 2, 2022. He then enlisted in the military and proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He graduated from Barber school in 1957 and fulfilled his dream of owning and operating his own business which he loved for more than 65 years. After he retired they traveled to many places in the world. They bought a home in Saint George and loved spending as much time as he could there. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a member of the Mantua 1st ward where he served faithfully in many callings. They served at the pioneer care center for more than 15 years and loved every minute of it. He always said that his family was his greatest joy. He is so proud of each one of us and has always shown us his never ending love and support. He loved life and was so grateful for each day. He is survived by his loving wife Loretta, children: Ralph Lynn (Chris) Wyatt, Brent (Darlene) Wyatt, Michael (Teresa) Wyatt, Debbie (Kevin) Hirschi, Lorie (Terry) Kimber. He has 32 grandchildren, 83 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Sarah, Charles, Verda, Seth, Blaine, Donna. His son Bruce Wyatt, Grandson Cade Wyatt, Great Grandson Dawson Pugmire. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mantua 1st ward. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City and on Thursday, 9:30 to 10:30 at the church. Interment will be in the Brigham City cemetery where he will be buried next to his son. Military Honors will provided by the Combined Veterans of Box Elder County.
