Rhea R. Christensen
BRIGHAM CITY - Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Rhea Richardson Christensen, 70, passed away unexpectedly after a valiant long term fight from COPD on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the Brigham City Community Hospital.
She was born on August 21, 1948 in Brigham City, Utah, a daughter of Jedediah Grant and Wanda Ann Bowden Richardson.
Rhea attended Lincoln Elementary, Box Elder Jr. High and graduated from Box Elder High School in 1966. She also attended Steven's Heniger College of Business.
Rhea married Harvey Ray Christensen on February 25, 1966 in Elko, Nevada.
She was a member of the LDS church spending many years in the Young Women's Program.
Rhea taught computer classes at Mt. View Elementary for several years. She also had worked at Brigham Sewing Factory when she was younger.
She was a very talented seamstress, gardening, painting, scrapbooking, devoted to her grandkids and great grandkids. Rhea loved to "Shop til you dropped".
Surviving are her five children: Karrie-de (Dennis) Vincent; Bradley Christensen; Travis (Carey) Christensen; Cathrine (Tasha Page) Christensen; Kylene (Craig) Carr; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Richardson and David Richardson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, Wynn & Berneice Christensen, siblings, Jed, Melba, Kathleen, Merlin, Cleopha, Alden, Ilene, Laverne and Oscar.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jeffrey Lish for his loving care to Rhea.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brigham City Cemetery, 495 East 500 South.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT.
