Richard Wayne Leach
Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Richard Wayne Leach, 62, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at the Timpangos Regional Hospital from a heart attack.
Richard was born on April 23, 1962 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of Joseph Wayne and Susan Diane Tanner Leach. He graduated from Bingham High School in 1981. He continued his four years at Mountainland Applied Technology School in a degree in Heating and Air Conditioning as a journeyman.
Richard is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in Independence Missouri from 1981-1983.
He was inducted into the US Army on April 1, 1986 and served until March 1993.
Richard met his sweetheart, Becky Lynn Jewkes and they were married in Reno, Nevada on March 15,1987. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple on May 10, 1989 for time and all eternity.
He loved hiking, camping, forging with metal and wood. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and a University of Utah fan. Richard was also a Black Belt in Taek won do. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Becky Lynn Leach; three children: Bryan Wayne Leach; Jay Timothy (Savannah) Leach; Nicole Kathryn (Devin) Best; four grandchildren, Bailey Simpson, Koda Wayne Leach, Cole Timothy Leach and Maizie Lynn Best; four siblings, Diane Sault, Santhana Anderson, Armand (Sarah) Leach, and Amera (Nick) Javis.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church on 1100 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
A viewing will be held on Saturday from 11:30 to 1:30 pm at the church prior to the services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the Veteran’s Honor Guard.
