Shannon Cook

November 12, 1950 — June 10, 2024

Shannon Barber Cook November 12, 1950 - June 10, 2024 On June 10, 2024 our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Shannon Barber Cook of Willard, Utah returned to her final home. She was surrounded by her loving family. Shannon was born November 12, 1950 to Wesley and Della Ellis Barber. Shannon grew up in Bountiful and Perry, Utah with her siblings; Linda (Kenneth) St. Clair; Craig Barber, Scott Barber, Robert Barber and Bradley Barber. She met her loving long time companion in 1971, they were married on April 14, 1972 in Brigham City, Utah, they just celebrated their 52nd Anniversary. You never saw one without the other they were each other's best friend. Together they brought into their family four children: Holly (David) Heath, baby son Heath Cook; Vickie (Tim) Crozier and Jerie Lynn (Troy) Dodge. She loved spending time and visiting with her 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Jerry and Shannon worked hard to run and manage their business 5C's Mobile Home Park until the past couple of years. They spent many hours camping, hunting, waterskiing and boating, but Shannon's favorite was when they were fishing. Some of Shannon's hobbies were crocheting, cooking, and spending time with her four legged child, (KC - her beautiful black lab). Shannon gave away many of her crocheted blankets to friends and family members. Shannon was a really good cook, they both preferred to eat home cooked meals, she was known for her famous macaroni salad, that was requested and enjoyed at many family dinner and parties. Many remember Shannon's dry sense of humor, she could keep a straight face while she was teasing, but it was her sparkle in her eyes that gave her away. As a family we have missed seeing that sparkle. Sadly Shannon was diagnosed with Dementia four years ago. It has been such a blessing that she was able to stay in her home, this was because of the dedication and care of her husband and daughter Jerie Lynn and her family. She was moved to Beehive Home Assisted Living, 10 days ago after a fall. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews and other family and friends. Shannon is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Cook; mother-in-law, Carol Cook; Siblings: Linda St.Clair; Roy Cottam; Carol Southworth; Jerry's siblings: Judy (Ted) Chlarson; Janice (Jerry L.) Richardson; Andy (Cynthia) Cook; two children, Jerie Lynn (Troy) Dodge; Holly (David) Heath; one son-in-law, Tim Crozier and 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law, Grant Cook, son, Heath Cook, daughter, Vickie Crozier and two great grandchildren, Tinsley Dodge and Cohen Dodge. Special thanks for the heartfelt compassion and care of the Beehive Home Assisted Living Center and the staff of the Brigham City Community Hospital and Hospice team. The family appreciated the kindness and support. Graveside services will held on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 12 Noon at the Willard Precinct Cemetery, 400 North Main, Willard, Utah. A viewing will be held on Monday, June 17th from 10:00 to 11:30 am at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 E 200 South, Brigham City, Utah. Send condolences to www.gfc-utah.com
