Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister/cousin and friend, Sharon Ann Schoenborn Johnson, 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Legacy House of Park Lane in Farmington, Utah surrounded by her family.
Sharon was born on January 18, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri, a daughter of John William and Amy Adeline Bowers Schoenborn.
She graduated from Liberty High School in 1962 and continued her education at William Jewell College with a Bachelors in Sociology with a minor in Music.
Sharon was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, later she became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Sharon married her sweetheart, Eugene LeRoy Johnson on April 1, 1967 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Sharon and Eugene moved to Brigham City in 1977.
She was an active member of the Brigham City 7th Ward, where she served as the ward chorister, choir director, primary chorister, and gospel doctrine teacher. She and her husband, Eugene served in the Independence Missouri and Nauvoo Missions, and served in the Brigham City Temple as ordinance workers.
Sharon retired from the Brigham City Community Hospital in 2011. She was a Lamaze instructor at home and in the hospital. She sold real-estate for Century 21 and Bess Realty. Sharon was the costumer for the Heritage Theater and acted in several of the productions.
She loved music, writing plays, scrap booking, genealogy, and traveling to Yellowstone to watch the geysers. Most of all she loved her grandchildren and her family.
The family would like to thank Inspiration Hospice, Donette & Lillibeth, the CNA’s and Nurses at Legacy House of Park Lane, and her nurse practitioner, Jennifer Griswold for their loving care of our wife and mother.
Surviving is her husband, Eugene; six children; Evan (Tami) Johnson; Maria (Raymond) May; April (Matthew) Macey; Sharla (Michael) Harding; Spencer (Leah) Johnson; Hyrum (Kayla) Johnson; 22 grandchildren; one great granddaughter on the way; one sister/cousin Karen Marie Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one granddaughter, Dani Monique Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14th at 10:00 a.m. at the Brigham City West Stake Center, 895 N 625 W.
Viewings will be held on Friday, Sept. 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City and at the Stake Center on Saturday from 9:00 to 9:40 a.m.
Interment will be in the Victor Cemetery, Victor, Idaho at 4:00 p.m.
