Shauntel Marie Dagsen Parker, 39, of Ogden, Utah returned home to her Heavenly Father and the arms of her husband Skyler on Tuesday March 7, 2023. Unexpectedly, blood clots hit her lungs and caused her to go into cardiac arrest, but she held on long enough for her mom to get to her and be by her side in her time of need, just as she always has been.
Shauntel was born on September 13, 1983 in Ogden, Utah to Nila Knight Dagsen and Boyd Dagsen. She graduated from Fremont High School in 2002, and served in the U.S. Army from July 9, 2007 to January 16, 2008. She also earned an associate degree in criminal justice from Eagle Gate College.
Shauntel married Chris Kelton in May 2004 and they welcomed an amazing son, Caiden Ryan. They later divorced.
Shauntel married Skyler Evan Parker on March 23, 2012 and they were blessed with another wonderful son, Chanler Sklyer. Sklyer passed away on March 15, 2013. After 10 years apart, their reunion in Heaven must have been beautiful.
Shauntel had a beautiful soul, and was a beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend who will be so sorely missed. She was the kind of person that would give all she had left to someone and was always more concerned for others than for herself. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved serving in the Primary in the Hooper 1st Ward and in the Nursery in the Hooper 4th Ward.
Shauntel loved creating artwork and crafts and blessed many with her handmade gifts. Those gifts will be cherished by all of us who love and miss her.
Shauntel fiercely loved her boys Caiden and Chanler and gave her all to make sure they were cared for. She lived for her sons, and we know she continues to protect and watch over them, as she was the kind of mother that would never let anything stop her from doing so.
Shauntel leaves behind her two beloved sons Caiden and Chanler, her loving mother Nila Dagsen, and her devoted brother Zane Dagsen of Ogden. She also leaves her mother-in-law, Tammy Parker Bell (Chris) of Kaysville, her siblings-inlaw, Sevana Hasty (Geoff) of Hooper, Tiara Reeder (Brett) of Treasureton, ID, Landon Parker (Jessie) of Farr West, Tavan Parker (Clarissa) of Kaysville, Chance Parker (Christine) of Glendale, AZ. Shauntel also leaves 14 nieces and 8 nephews, and her aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Shauntel was preceded in death by her husband Skyler Evan Parker, her father-in-law Evan Parel Parker, and her grandparents Alma Tracy Knight and Myrtle Loris Todd Knight.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Shauntel Dagsen Parker Memorial Account to go toward her children, Caiden and Chanler at America First Credit Union.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday March 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the West Warren Chapel, 856 N. 5900 W. Ogden, Utah 84404. There will be a viewing held at the chapel Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
