Taz Howard

January 14, 1993 — October 12, 2023

In Loving Memory of Taz Robert Howard Taz Robert Howard, born on January 14, 1993, in Brigham City, Utah, transitioned to eternal peace, leaving behind a tapestry of memories cherished by those who held him dear. Taz was a beloved son, a doting brother, and a loving father. He is survived by his mother, Sonja Chugg, and his father, Donovan Howard. Taz's brothers, Gavin Howard (Monica) and Kelton Howard (Sierra) along with his sister, Brianna Howard, mourn his passing, sharing the indelible bond of family. Taz was embraced not only by his immediate family but also by his stepdad, Lynn Chugg, and stepmom, Belynda Howard. His legacy lives on through his son, Joseph Howard. It was with heavy hearts that we said farewell to his aunt, Belinda Howard, as well as his grandfather, Donovan Howard Sr., his uncle, Justin Wilson, his grandpa, Robert Wilson, and his grandma, Verna Howard, who welcomed him into the next chapter of existence on that fateful day. Taz had a zest for life that was infectious. He was passionate about sports and had a knack for lightening the atmosphere with his humorous jokes. The time he spent with his friends, whom he affectionately referred to as "the homies," held a special place in his heart. Taz's bond with his sister and the joy he found in playing with nieces and nephews was a testament to his loving nature. Music and quality time with his son, Joseph, brought immense happiness. His unwavering support for the Buccaneers was a testament to his loyalty and love for his favorite team. Taz's life was marked by significant accomplishments, including earning his high school diploma. He was renowned for his tireless work ethic, boundless ambition, charismatic personality, and a great sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest of days. Taz was a survivor in every sense, displaying resilience and a thoughtful, strong-hearted nature. His approach to life was epitomized by his determination to get things done promptly. His smile was nothing short of contagious, brightening the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Although Taz was born into a physical body, he has returned to his spiritual father, leaving a void that can never be filled. The memory of his remarkable spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to share in his life's journey. As we bid our farewells, we celebrate the incredible soul that was Taz and the lasting impact he had on us all. His laughter, love, and unquenchable zest for life will be deeply missed but will remain in our hearts forever. May he find eternal peace in the embrace of the divine.. The service will be live-streamed at (https://my.gather.app/remember/taz-howard) for those unable to attend in person. There will be a viewing on Friday October 20, from 6-8pm at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 E 200 S, Brigham City and again on Saturday October 21, from 10-10:45 am. The funeral service will follow Saturday at 11:00am at Gillies Funeral Chapel. In honor of Taz's vibrant life and impactful legacy, we encourage you to share your memories of him and upload photos to his memorial page. In this way, his spirit will continue to bring joy and laughter to us all, just as he always did. Let us take comfort in the words of Dr. Seuss, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." Taz Howard happened to us, and for that, we are all the richer.
