William Evans

BRIGHAM CITY - William "Bill" Evans left this world, Friday, August 18, 2017 to be with his Heavenly Father. He was born on September 16, 1937 in Malad, Idaho, a son of William and Jen Christophersen Evans. He enjoyed boating and camping with his family. He had a love of music, played the accordion well and played with the family band. Bill graduated from Logan High Class of 1955 and received a Bachelor's Degree from Utah State University in social work. He worked as a juvenile probation officer for Box Elder County for 30 years until his retirement in 1999. He helped many troubled youth over his career. He shared 52 years of marriage with his wife, Marilyn before she passed away on August 6, 2016. Bill had a great love for of the LDS Church. He served a mission to the Western States Mission and served in various callings over the years. The family would like to thank Access Home Health and Hospice, especially Lori, Angel and Elaine. Surviving are his children: Dave (Laura) Evans, Layton; Michelle (Jim) Christiansen, Wellsville; Darin Evans, Brigham City; Jason Evans, Brigham City; 10 grandchildren, Ty, Monty, Taber, Trek, Kiefer, Kira, Carson, Kaylor, Jillian and Jaxon; 2 great grandchildren, Scarlet and Ivy; two siblings, Gary Evans and Trudi Palmer; two dogs, Sophie and Maggie. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Marilyn. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral chapel. Interment will be in the Garden City Cemetery, Utah.
